Wrap-Around & Holiday Club Manager  

25 hours a week – timings during holidays to be agreed

Club hours 7:15am-9am & 2:45pm-6pm, Monday to Friday term time plus 7:15am-6pm during holidays

This is a fixed term contract for 1 year commencing as soon as possible

Grade 4 SCP 7 (£25,584.00 per annum, pro rata) plus honorarium payment

The Governors of Croft Primary School wish to appoint a Wrap-Around and Holiday Club Manager.

Responsible to: Head Teacher and Senior Leadership Team

Skills and experience:

  • Have a Level 3 NVQ teaching assistant (desirable)
  • Enjoy engaging with young children to deliver high quality play
  • Have experience of working with children
  • Have an understanding of how children develop and learn
  • Be willing to learn and develop with the support of our experienced staff team
  • Be an excellent communicator with adults and children alike
  • Be flexible and able to adapt to different situations
  • Have leadership skills and be able to lead and support the After School Club/Holiday Club Team
  • Be organised and able to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team

We have been managing our own Wrap-Around and Holiday Club Care provision for a number of years. The Wrap-Around/Holiday Club care leader works closely with the school leadership team to provide high quality care for our children. We wish to appoint someone with strong leadership skills and the skills to continue the effective running of this club.  

The club runs daily, providing childcare Monday to Friday from 7:15am-9am and 2:45pm-6pm during term-time and 7:15am-6pm during holidays and offers a range of play based activities for the children to participate in.

The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Headteacher/SLT to coordinate the development of the Wrap-Around/Holiday Club including managing the day to day planning of activities, delegating roles to a small team of playworkers and liaising with parents and supervising the preparation of food for the children.

Position required: Level 3 Apprentice Early Years Educator – 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Hours will be between 7.30am and 6.00pm

The Governors wish to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Level 3 Apprentice Early Years Educator to join our friendly and experienced school.
